Spanish La Liga: Valencia crushes Alaves 3-0

The Spanish league season has been extremely lucky for Valencia as they beat Alaves 3-0 to win two straight home games at the start of the season for the first time in seven years. The Mestalla Stadium witnessed the pro play from Daniel Wass who scored three minutes into the match following Carlos Soler and Goncalo Guedes adding one each to the three-goal total for Valencia.

Since 2014-15 the Bats haven’t had such an opening winning two consecutive matches after winning a straight five back then. With this stunning victory, Valencia tops the standings along with Mallorca taking seven points from three matches. Facing its third continuous loss, Alaves continues its downhill following setbacks from Real Madrid and Mallorca, outscored 8-1 by their opponents. Valencia who opened with a 1-0 win against Getafe, drew 1-1 at Granada. With Wass scoring early from close range, Soler gets the lead in first-half injury time while Guedes confirms the victory in the 60th.
