Spurs and Everton share the spoils with 2-2

Jarrad Branthwaite's last-minute equalizer salvaged a point for Everton with a 2-2 draw with Tottenham. Between August 2022 and December 2023, Richarlison, a former striker for Everton, scored just one goal for Tottenham in the league. But after giving the visitors the lead in the fourth minute and extending it with an incredible shot from the outside of the penalty area in the eighth, he has now scored nine goals in Tottenham's previous eight league games.

But Everton recovered from a dismal first half, and their strategy of cutting down Tottenham goalie Guglielmo Vicario from corners paid off as they equalized in the thirty-first minute. Everton is now in third place in the league and has lost their last six games. Nevertheless, manager Sean Dyche of the Toffees stated: "We deserved at least an equalizer if not all the three points."
