Spurs Signed on Matt Doherty erstwhile Wolves defender

Matt Doherty becomes Tottenham’s third signing within the transfer window after Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Joe Hart. The Ireland based defender from Wolverhampton Wanderers signed a four-year contract with Spurs for an undisclosed fee, estimated at $15 to $20 million.

Mourinho seemed delighted with the signing and praised Doherty’s skills and seemed confident that with his skills the squad would be motivated to perform better than last season. Doherty’s performance has also been impressive prior to joining Wolves and post that, he has helped Wolves consecutively finish Seventh place and reach last season‘s Europa League quarter-final.

Doherty is now looking forward to joining Spurs, who had finished sixth in the Premier League of last season, and stayed ahead of Wolves on goal difference, further they also reached the last 16 of the Champions League.
