Spurs target Bologna’s Takehiro Tomiyasu

Tottenham Hotspur could make a move for Bologna’s Takehiro Tomiyasu really soon. Spurs are seeking a defender to bolster their defensive lineup ahead of the next season and Bologna’s 22-year-old has emerged as a potential transfer target for the North London club. Tottenham’s Serge Aurier situation still remains unresolved which means they could need a right-back in the future if Aurier departs this summer. Their potential defensive recruit can play on the right-back and centre position adding versatility to the roster. 

The Japan international played 31 times in the last Serie A campaign with an equal number of games played in the middle and on the right he even scored two goals for the team. Atlanta has announced their intention to sign the £17 million player as well and could beat Hotspur in the race, who are busy hunting for Jose Mourinho’s successor.
