Stuttgart salvages a draw against Bayern

VfB Stuttgart did their best to delay Bayern Munich from lifting the Bundesliga championship title with the 2-2 draw. The lone point from the matchup was crucial for the visitors in their fight for top-flight survival while Bayern needed just one point to lift their back-to-back 10th Bundesliga title.

Stuttgart defender Konstantinos Mavropanos had a hard time keeping Serge Gnabry in check who scored the opener at the 35th minute later as Tiago Tomas' early opener was answered with a thundering effort before the break. Thomas Muller then pulled the champions in front at the 44th minute on Sunday. Stuttgart forced a comeback with Sasa Kalajdzic’s equalizer that came minutes after Muller’s second effort on the goal post did not go through and Bayern missed the chance to seal a win with three points on their way to the party.
