Mitch Marsh, helped the team to a 34-run win, playing in front of 9740 fans. While Billings and Sangha scored 113 runs in the third wicket partnership that defined the match.
Winning the Man-of-the-match award Billings knocked four off his first ball and hit a total of 10 fours and two sixes along with Sangha who was unbeaten at 56. Scorchers never came close to winning the match, and in the 20 overs scored just 166 runs.
