Taiwo Awoniyi scores to help Union Berlin win against Cologne

Union Berlin arrested their slide down the Bundesliga table by adding a rare win to their tally with some assistance from Taiwo Awoniyi. Cologne’s captain Jonas Hector practically gift-wrapped the goal and put it into the path of Union striker Taiwo Awaoniyi who put the goal past goalkeeper Marvin Schwabe to net his 12th goal of the current season in the second half.

Union defended their lead well throughout the second half thereafter to win the match by 1-0 in Bundesliga in from of 22,000 fans who returned to the stadium after restrictions were eased in the area. Union leapfrogged over Cologne into seventh place and stay in contention for the European spot.
