UEFA is to impose sanctions on around ten teams, including, most notably, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona, for breaching Financial Fair Play for the 2020-21 season.
'The Times' revealed that the international body is investigating around twenty clubs, from which ten sanctions will be imposed. In addition to the French and Spaniards, Olympique Marseille, Roma, Inter and Juventus, plus others that have not been revealed.
The other ten clubs that are under investigation, but will not be sanctioned for the time being, will have the opportunity to clean up their act and submit updated financial statements to UEFA.
It should be recalled that the 2020-21 season was highly influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the campaign just after the paralysis of all football.
