Three Arsenal players injured ahead of the new season

The injured trio will miss Arsenal's 2021/22 Premier League opener against newly-promoted Brentford on August 14, according to the club's official website. With the start of the new Premier League season fast approaching, Arsenal has provided an injury update on Thomas Partey, Gabriel Magalhaes, and Eddie Nketiah.

Besides, the all-London clash against Chelsea on Matchday 2 may come too soon for them. Some predict that their return date will be August 28th, in a blockbuster match versus Manchester City. Thomas and Nketiah both suffered ankle injuries in Arsenal's 2-1 friendly loss to Chelsea, while Gabriel had a knee injury while with the Brazil Olympic squad. On August 14, Arsenal will embark on a redemption league season against Premier League debutants Brentford. Arteta will be eager to improve on his team's 47.37 percent win rate in the Premier League last season.
