Tottenham Hotspur’s left-back Sergio Reguilon might not be part of the squad that would be taking on Newcastle United on Sunday as the player currently faces a race against time to get better for the upcoming clash. Newcastle is currently 2 points above the red zone and has just 9 more matches remaining in the season and is desperate to stay in the safe zone. They have won just 2 matches from their last 20 matches as they struggled to remain in form and would face Spurs soon but would consider it a huge boost if left-back is left out of the squad.
Reguilon’s injury saw him miss his international duty with Spain after he suffered a foot injury while playing against Aston Villa. While Jose Mourinho is in a tough situation as their left-back department is shorthanded after left-back Ben Davies withdrew as well due to a calf injury. Maybe one of the right-back Matt Doherty or Serge Aurier might be asked to fill the role instead or hand left-back Dennis Cirkin his Premier League debut.
