Tottenham defeats Burnley 4-0

Gareth Bale returned to the club after a long wait and served his time with Real Madrid making a comeback to his former club and scored twice to lead Tottenham to a 4-0 win against Burnley. Spurs manager Jose Mourinho later commented on him by saying he is in the best form but would not be able to start week-in, week-out. Bale was the first one to find the net in just 68 seconds and later with an assist by Son Heung-min, scored in the second half as well.

After being back from Real Madrid this has been his first two-goal match since 2019. Harry Kane and Lucas Moura also scored for Spurs and could have found more nets against Burnley if they did not have a strong goalkeeper like Nick Pope defending the post.
