Tottenham Hotspur defeated Southampton by 2-1

Southampton were left heartbroken when they were denied a win. Danny Ings’ header on 30 minutes had set them on coarse to a win which would have been historical as that would have been their first win at Spurs in five years time but Ralph Hasenhüttl’s team saw Tottenham Hotspur rise with Gareth Bale first equalizing at 60th minute but curling in a shot from inside the far post and he converted the rebound by Moura to shot past Salisu.

As an hour was completed Saints lost the chance to win but the  90th-minute penalty from Son Heung-Min did them in ultimately handing them a 2-1 defeat in north London. Saints are now 14th on the table and enjoy the safety of nine points from the red zone currently with just six matches left in the season.
