Tottenham launches a fightback to win against Leeds

Antonio Conte’s reign starts off well as Tottenham Hotspurs rains down on Leeds United with 2-1 in the Premier League. A seriously drained Leeds stay only two points over the drop zone after they launched an attack with the aim to ruin Contes first home league game since he supplanted Nuno Espirito Santo. The first 45 minutes saw the same toothless attack by Tottenham as before, they could not even manage a shot on target in the last two league matches.

Leeds were without Raphinha and Patrick Bamford but still clung on to the 1-0 half-time lead on account of Daniel James’ goal which was his first for the club. Harry Kane and Son Heung-min worked hard in search of the goal but the first goal came from Pierre Emile Højbjerg. Later Sergio Reguilon grabbed the winner with his first Spurs goal after Eric Diers redirected his free-kick from the post.
