Tottenham overpowered Aston Villa by 2-1

Tottenham ended their losing streak by taking down Aston Villa by 2-1 in the Premier League match before the teams head to an international break this month. Spurs were off to a good start this season until losses piled up with an aggregate score of 9-1 as they fell through the ranks. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s had scored in the first half giving Spurs an easy lead but Aston Villa hit back with Ollie Watkins’ strike that leveled the score.

Later facing a tough opponent and in desperate need of a win, Nuno’s side found some relief when Matt Targett pushed a goal into his own net at 71st minute which turned the tables in favor of Spurs. In other matches, Leicester drew up 2-2 against Crystal Palace and Brentford beat West Ham by 2-1.
