Dele Alli had put Tottenham ahead at the 10th minute itself which turned out to be the decisive score for Hotspurs against Wolverhampton Wanderers. At the start of the match, Alli was fouled by Wolves player Jose Sa, then converting the penalty calmly Alli scored his first goal since March 2020.
In the search for another goal Kane then entered the field after missing out the first game of the season earlier. The England captain entered at 71st minute as fans burst out in cheers even after his desire to leave the club he has been long associated with to join City this season. Kane then wasted one-on-one opportunity which could have given Hotspurs a comfortable lead but nonetheless, they won in the end by 1-0 at Molineux. This is the second straight win for Hotspurs.
