Turn face: Sadio Mané on Senegal's list for Worlds

Senegal announced on Friday the final squad for the 2022 World Cup. The big surprise on the list is... Sadio Mané.

The Bayern Munich forward was practically out of the competition, after being diagnosed with a head injury to his fibula. The Bavarian club confirmed the injury, but never removed the player from the World Cup.

Mané will be in the Qatar race among other big names like Edouard Mendy, Koulibaly (Chelsea), Idrissa Gueye (Everton), Ismaïla Sarr (Watford) and Cheikhou Kouyaté (Nottingham Forest). Senegal will play in Group A against hosts Qatar, Ecuador and the Netherlands.
