Udinese beat AS Roma by 4-0

Two separate errors from Roma players made them give up two goals and saw José Mourinho’s side slip to its first loss in Serie A as it was unexpectedly thrashed 4-0 at Udinese. Roma stepped into the game having gotten only one goal in four rounds this season.

Roma defender Rick Karsdorp and goalkeeper Rui Patrício were equally at fault for the slip up of the first two goals from Destiny Udogie and Lazar Samardžic. Roberto Pereyra and Sandi Lovric extended Roma’s humiliation in the final 15 minutes.

It was a third consecutive win for Udinese and jumped it up to fourth, level on points with Roma. Udinese doubled its command in the 56th minute when Patrício let Samardžic’s snapshot from distance to slip out of his hands and straight into the back of the net.
