Union Berlin climbs fourth on the table with a win

Union Berlin continues their dominating run in Bundesliga as they climb fourth on the table by grabbing three more points from their match with Leipzig. Playing in front of the biggest crowd Berlin deepened the visitor's crisis by beating them 2-1. Taiwo Awoniyi and Timo Baumgartl lifted the team into fourth place as they sit on the last Champions League qualification place while Leipzig deals with their third successive domestic defeat.

Leipzig was without Willi Orban and Hugo Novoa as well as coach Jesse Marsch and his assistant Achim Beierlorzer who were serving their time in isolation. Awoniyi needed just six minutes to score his ninth goal of the season, Leipzig’s Christopher Nkunku answered just a few minutes later but Leipzig lost control in the second half when Baumgartl scored the winner to put the team ahead in the 57th minute.
