United top the league with a win against Burnley

Manchester United top the Premier League table for the first time in three years with a 1-0 win over 16th placed Burnley. Paul Pogba scored the only goal of the match, playing a pivotal role in the win as the team charged ahead with more determination for this year’s title after Alex Ferguson retired in 2013. The first half of the game was gripped with controversy as VAR decided not to send off Luke Shaw and Robbie Brady after their clash. And United turned up the heat in the second half and was rewarded 19 minutes in with Pogba scoring for them.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team now leads with three points over former champions Liverpool. Both teams are set to clash on Sunday at Anfield. Solskjaer is more confident that this time the club would end its eight-year wait for a league title.
