Valencia and Rayo match ends in a draw

Rayo Vallecano successfully managed to keep their winless streak alive in La Liga and extend that to 12 matches with the 1-1 home draw against Valencia. The visiting side grabbed the first goal of the day when Carlos Soler found the back of the net in the 57th minute. Later they ended up conceding one to Rayo when Sergi Guardiola scored late in the match to send the Vallecas Stadium into an uproar.

The promoted side has failed to post a win in the league since December and even then they had faced last-placed Alaves to survive. Valencia on the other side has stayed unbeaten for six matches winning three of them to stay in the top 10. Rayo is four places behind Valencia in 13th place but safe from the relegation zone by six points.
