Levante dominated the first half with a gold in the opening minute by Jose Luis Morales. But as the game progressed Velencia restored its lead by scoring in the 36th minute by Gabriel Paulista. But Maxi Gomez though later equalized the score before halftime, Javi Gracia’s side but pushed forward with Manu Vallejo’s goal in the 75th minute and later sealing their victory with a second goal in stoppage time.
Valencia’s last campaign was disappointing when they finished ninth in the standings after laying off two managers and it let go of its key players Francis Coquelin, Dani Parejo, Ezequiel Garay, and Rodrigo Moreno. Making a comeback Valencia has proved it would not be regarded as a weakling.
