VfB Stuttgart's1-1 draw with Union Berlin

VfB Stuttgart rallied back from a 1-0 deficit to draw 1-1 with Union Berlin on the road, earning a crucial point in their relegation struggle. The Stadion An der Alten Försterei hosted a hard-fought match from the start, with the hosts progressively gaining the upper hand as the first half progressed. Pellegrino Matarazzo's side, on the other hand, defended well and gave their opponents few chances. The ball struck Konstantinos Mavropanos in the penalty area just before halftime (41'), and Taiwo Awoniyi converted the spot-kick to give Union a 1-0 lead at the break.

It took VfB some time in the second half to create the first serious goal-scoring opportunity against a resolute Union defense. In the 73rd minute, Omar Marmoush volleyed barely wide after a corner, and five minutes later, Sasa Kalajdzic wasted another chance. Stuttgart, on the other hand, never give up, and their perseverance paid off in the 90th minute when Kalajdzic headed in Borna Sosa's cross for the much-applauded equalizer.
