Villarreal booked the berth for the quarter-finals of the Champions League on Wednesday after handing an embarrassing 3-0 loss on Juventus in Turin to go through with a 4-1 on the total. Juventus got hit by Gerard Moreno and Arnaut Danjuma and Pau Torres' tap in the last quarter of an hour which was enough for Unai Emery's efficient side to see off the Italian Giants at the Allianz Stadium and make it to the last-eight draw.
Villarreal spent most of the match on the back foot, content with holding off the hosts' assaults which got less powerful as the match wore on. Massimiliano Allegri's side was uproariously booed off by the home fans who watched their group recoil from a promising beginning to being packaged out of the competition. Italy now has no representation in this season's Champions League.
