Villarreal vs Granada ends in a 0-0 draw

The La Liga season had Villarreal facing Granada at El Madrigal where both sides failed to gain a lead ending the battle goalless in a draw. The Yellow submarine could not break down the Nazaries even with the greater share of possession and chances. Villarreal had Argentinian full-back Juan Foyth covering the share of spoils for the team and eventually got dismissed in the 82nd minute following a second yellow card for a late lunge on Granada substitute Angel Montoro.

Granada’s Víctor Díaz missed the header from the center of the box assisted by Ángel Montoro with a cross following a corner in the climax. The reigning Europa League champions also had Aïssa Mandi missing the right-footed shot from outside the box assisted by Moi Gómez. The tie followed the 0-0 stalemate between Elche and Athletic Bilbao at the Estadio Martinez Valero in the La Liga season.
