Virgil van Dijk addressed his injury concerns

Liverpool player Virgil van Dijk took part in the Netherlands World Cup qualifier match against Turkey where his side enjoyed a 6-1 win on Tuesday. The Liverpool defender was seen in action and put on quite a show until he crashed into Turkish forward Halil Dervisoglu. The Turk player caught the captain’s ankle before passing the ball to Cengiz Under who grabbed a consolation. Shrugging off the injury van Dijk shared he was fine later.

Reds fans were concerned as they could not afford to have the man defender injured so early in the campaign especially after his injury issues over the past year. Liverpool’s attempt to grab their second title was hit hard when Van Dijk suffered an ACL injury in the Merseyside derby which placed him out of play for the rest of the season.
