West Ham win intensifies the competition for the top four spots in the Premier League as they are close to Chelsea within two points in the fifth spot on the table and have an advantage of a game which could very well pave the way for them into next season's Champions League.
They thrashed Leeds at the London Stadium with a 2-0 beating and Leeds had two early goals disallowed by VAR in the process as Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa settled that the game was out of their hands. Tyler Roberts goal was first disallowed for being offside later Patrick Bamford’s goal had gone over touchline before the cross. West Ham later took the lead in the 21st minute when Jesse Lingard converted a penalty to push it past Illan Meslier and seven minutes later they were 2-0 when Craig Dawson netted.
