West Ham agrees to an extension with their Scottish Manager, David Moyes for three years. The 58-year-old was holding discussions with Everton after Carlo Ancelotti’s sudden exit to Real Madrid. Moyes led the Hammers to their top-six finish this season and secured a berth in Europa League next season. Moyes would now focus on reshaping the staff team as well as the squad by adding quality and depth.
West Ham has been linked with Tammy Abraham and Jesse Lingard this summer and Moyes is leading the talks with the aim to improve the attacking front. Last season they were heavily reliant on Michail Antonio but with the European Qualification, they need to have a backup as well. Committing to a long-term future with the club leaves West Ham hopeful about the next season.
