What's going on with Jovic?

Luka Jovic signed for Real Madrid in summer 2019, but since then, the striker has struggled to perform for 'Los Blancos'. His poor first season made Madrid send him back to his former club, Eintracht Frankfurt,  on loan.

Once the loan was finished, the Serbian forward went back to Real Madrid with the goal to compete with Karim Benzema for a place in the starting XI. Unfortunately for him, Benzema is in the best moment of his career.

Jovic didn't play a single minute in Madrid's draw against Villarreal, but he could start v Sheriff in the Champions League. Real Madrid will host Sheriff at the Santiago Bernabeu and Benzema could have some resting time.
