Win at Burnley helps Man City to regain their top position

Man City required a victory to reach the top spot in the Premier League chart. Kevin de Bruyne scored the first goal within 5’ of the game and Ilkay Gundogan made it 2-0 with assist from Raheem Sterling. Man City were spectacular during the first half. Both Sterling and De Bruyne were influential in magnifying Man City's lead. With this win, Man City moved to 1st and due to Burnley’s fourth consecutive loss, they are at 19th.

In a post-match interview in association with the Premier League, Guardiola said "We've played in these types of games for many years. We scored early on so that helped us a lot.
