With Edouard Mendy on board Chelsea shifts their focus on Declan Rice

The Blues have almost completed their deal of Rennes goalkeeper Edouard Mendy as he flies to London for the medical, as soon as that checks out he would officially be a part of Chelsea.

Mendy becomes Blues' seventh signing during the transfer window after Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva, Malang Sarr, and Kai Havertz at Stamford Bridge.

Frank Lampard is now eyeing West Ham’s Declan Rice. Even though West Ham is not budging from their €80m demand, the Blues have accepted they would not be able to pay €80m for the player and negotiations are underway but West Ham asserts they don’t wish to sell Rice. The total expenditure on new recruits for Chelsea this summer is around £250m.
