Wolfsburg announces the signing of Svanberg

VfL Wolfsburg had just announced the signing of a young Dzenan Pejcinovic and two days later add another new recruit to the squad in the form of Midfielder Mattias Svanberg. The Swedish player leaves the Italian club, Bologna, to join up with the Bundesliga side on a five-year deal. The 23-year-old would wear the number 32 shirt at Wolfsburg. In his 118 appearances in Serie A registered nine goals and eight assists as well while also making 21 appearances in the Swedish national team during his time with side to score one goal.

VfL sporting director Marcel Schäfer stated the player is quite young and far along in his development, the strong midfielder would fit in well at Wolfsburg and holds a lot of calibre. Svanberg would be the side's sixth signing of the summer following Pejinovic, Jakub Kaminski, Patrick Wimmer, Kilian Fischer, and Bartol Franjic.
