Zinedine Zidane is the main candidate to assume the technical command of Manchester United. The poor results of the red devils led the club's directors to consider firing Solskjaer, and the former Real Madrid coach is the favorite to fill the position.
Initially, the Frenchman was not interested in heading to Old Trafford, however, according to Daily Record journalist Duncan Castles, United "has made progress in trying to persuade Zidane to succeed Solskjaer".
Zidane is "attracted by the possibility of taking charge of a team with two of his most successful players at Real Madrid: Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo".
The main obstacle, he adds, is his wife Veronique, who doesn't like the idea of living in Manchester and would prefer that her husband take a longer break before returning to work.
