Adebayo’s 83-point eruption earns NBA weekly honors

The NBA has announced its Players of the Week, recognizing Luka Dončić in the West and Bam Adebayo in the East. Dončić continued to power the Lakers with extraordinary numbers, averaging 37.3 points, 10.7 rebounds and 11 assists while guiding Los Angeles to a perfect 3‑0 record. His standout moments included a 51‑point display against Chicago and a decisive game‑winner versus Denver, adding another highlight to his remarkable season.

In the Eastern Conference, Adebayo earned the honor thanks to an unforgettable 83‑point explosion against Washington on 10 March, the second‑highest scoring game in NBA history. He surpassed Kobe Bryant’s 81 and now trails only Wilt Chamberlain’s legendary 100. Adebayo closed the week averaging 41.3 points, eight rebounds and 2.3 steals as Miami finished 2‑1.
