Without LeBron James or Luka Doncic, the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Indiana Pacers 124-117 behind a career-high 45 points from Austin Reaves. On his 27th birthday, Rui Hachimura scored 24 points for Los Angeles. The Lakers have won 11 of 13 games and five in a row.
Even without its two best players, the Lakers managed to hold off Indiana, the fourth-place club in the Eastern Conference, with a 25-point advantage in the first half and 14 points from Reaves in the fourth quarter. Doncic, who has been out since Christmas due to a strained left calf, watched his third consecutive game from the Lakers' bench as James sat with pain in his left ankle. Tyrese Halliburton scored 19 points, and Pascal Siakam scored 23 as the Pacers mostly overcame their massive lead before faltering in the fourth quarter. It was Indiana's fourth defeat in 17 games.
