The Golden State Warriors are expected to sign defensive specialist Jonathan Isaac, Jett Howard, and Mo Gueye in a three-team trade with the Orlando Magic and Atlanta Hawks, according to a daring trade rumour that is gathering steam. Rohan Raman of Sports Illustrated first described the planned trade, which would strengthen the Warriors' ageing defensive core and add much-needed muscle on the wing. The Golden State Warriors have won four titles in the past ten years thanks to their long-standing reliance on Draymond Green's versatility at the centre position. But now that Green is 35 and the NBA is shifting to larger lineups, there is a greater need for a reliable frontcourt defender.
A 6-foot-10 forward with exceptional defensive numbers, Jonathan Isaac, is a viable option. Isaac's influence on defence is indisputable, even with his patchy attacking output and ongoing injury problems.
