Big man Bam Adebayo of the Miami Heat, who is starting for the Eastern Conference in place of Joel Embiid, expressed his gratitude for being selected as an All-Star Game starter this season. Due to a knee injury, the Philadelphia 76ers player will not be playing in the All-player Game. Since Dwyane Wade in 2016, Adebayo will be the first member of the Heat to start an All-Star game. The Heat center player, Adebayo, was selected for his third All-Star squad this season after posting some of his greatest performance to date in the 2023–24 campaign.
Adebayo, a four-time All-Defensive team member, averages 20.2 points per game, which is his second-highest point total in his career, 10.6 rebounds, a career-high, 4.2 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.0 block. Adebayo will start for the Eastern Conference along with Tyrese Haliburton, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jayson Tatum, and Damian Lillard.
