Boston Celtics Eye Carmelo Anthony

Los Angeles Lakers star Carmelo Anthony is available as a free agent. He seems to be interested in the Boston Celtics. The seasoned campaigner wants a shift to a team that will challenge for the NBA title, and coach Ime Udoka has clearly propelled his side to the NBA Finals last time around, only to be defeated by the Golden State Warriors in six games. Udoka had to let go of the services of Danilo Gallinari for the coming season after the Italian suffered a torn ACL, and Anthony may be a model choice as the Celtics seek to build on the successes of 2021/22.

Anthony is a 10-time NBA All-Star pick. He was a player at the Lakers last season as they suffered a horrific season that didn’t even land them a place in the play-in tournament. Next season will be Anthony’s 20th in the NBA. He had been with the Lakers for only one season
