Celtics defeated the Toronto Raptors 117-94

Boston had a sluggish start, but rallied from a 6-14 hole to win the first quarter 30-26. Jaylen Brown scored 8 points in the first quarter on 3 of 3 shots. Sam Hauser scored another three to begin the second quarter, and then another.

Boston found it tough to score, especially when playing alone, because to Toronto's large, defensive wings (OG Anunoby, Scottie Barnes, and Chris Boucher, to mention a few). However, the Celtics were up in the second quarter thanks to ball movement and defence. In the first half, the Celtics made 6-21 shots from beyond the arc. With a few minutes remaining in the second quarter, a drive and dunk by Jrue Holiday gave Boston a 55-46 advantage at the half. With a quiet 17 points in the half, Jayson Tatum was the only member of the Celtics to score in double figures.
