A powerful fourth-quarter rally could not help Boston Celtics overpower Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night. Nets were off to a slow start with 2-3, and are now leading the Eastern Conference table with a 13-5 record with back-to-back wins. Celtics were trailing behind by 29 points and later fell to 123-104 defeat. Marcus Smart led Boston with 20 points while the duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown could not take off this time scoring just 9-of-31 from the field together.
Nets were clearly the better team with three players above the 20 point threshold, Patty Mills (23), Kevin Durant (21), and James Harden (20). Together Nets hit 41% of their attempts from deep. Celtics would be on the road as they take on San Antonio Spurs next while Nets would take on Suns next.
