The Cavaliers tried to get to a 14-point lead in the first quarter and had maintained a similar gap throughout the game. Charlotte swept by 10 with 44 seconds left in the 4th quarter. The Hornets come across three three-pointers in the next 40 seconds, and Cleveland turned the ball over three times. This was sufficient to give the Hornets an opportunity to tie the game. The away team got hold of the ball with 2.8 seconds remaining, trailing 105-102.
Terry Rozier stepped up to hit an astonishing game-tying fadeaway corner three pointer to push this game into overtime. The Hornets scored 15 points in 5 minutes, but the Cavaliers kept responding. The scoring from both teams was impressive.
