Frank Ntilikina filled the final open roster spot signing as a point guard with the Dallas Mavericks. Ntilikina who was the eighth overall pick of the 2017 NBA Draft by the New York Knicks, averaged 5.5 points, two rebounds, and 2.7 assists in 19.5 minutes per game. The 6-foot-5 Belgian-born French national was a strong target to Dallas before the Knicks but the Mavericks ended up with Dennis Smith Jr.
Being a competent ball-handler and defensively versatile at the guard position, Ntilikina has so much to offer to the Mavericks given the latter is weak in the listed areas. In his recent experience with the French National Team at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, Ntilikina took a silver medal for the team. Mavericks waved center EJ Onu who played on Dallas' Summer League team in Las Vegas this year to sign Ntilikina.
