Dwight Howard reflects on his Choice to leave the NBA

Dwight Howard discussed his decision to retire from the NBA. Howard said that although he was fortunate to have had the career he had, he now desired some alone time with his family. Throughout his time in the NBA, Howard enjoyed a fantastic career and experienced amazing success. When Dwight joined the NBA in 2004, he quickly made a name for himself as one of the top young centers in the organization. 

During his time with the Magic, Howard would go on to earn three Defensive Player of the Year titles and contribute to the team's trip to the NBA Finals. Later, Howard had a rough time in the NBA for the next few years, having many unsuccessful spells with other clubs. In the 2019–20 NBA season, he would rejoin the Lakers, and he was a key player in their NBA championship victory during the playoffs. Even if Howard was unable to continue winning in the league after that, it was a fitting conclusion to an incredible but divisive NBA career.
