Hawks advance to NBA Cup Semifinals with win over Knicks

Trae Young led the Atlanta Hawks to a 108-100 victory over the New York Knicks on Wednesday night, continuing their surprising NBA Cup run into the semifinals in Las Vegas. Young recorded 22 points and 11 assists, while De'Andre Hunter and Jalen Johnson dominated the Knicks’ frontcourt. Hunter contributed 24 points, and Johnson delivered a standout performance with 21 points, 15 rebounds, and seven assists. The Hawks, who stunned the Celtics and Cavaliers during group play, entered the knockout stage as the No. 3 seed in the East. They now face top-seeded Milwaukee in Saturday’s semifinal.

Despite a strong start and a 12-point lead, the Knicks couldn’t hold off the Hawks. Josh Hart scored 21 points, and Karl-Anthony Towns tallied 19 points and 19 rebounds for New York. The Hawks' young squad now aims to win the inaugural NBA Cup.
