Hornets reluctant to match contract offer for Miles Bridges

Charlotte Hornets and Miles Bridges had a great season this season. The player especially was at his absolute best averaging 20.2 PPG, 7.0 RPG, and 3.8 APG with excellent perimeter defense. But still this offseason he is set to join the restricted free agency as Charlotte Hornets seem reluctant to retain him. Bridges this offseason can attract a max or a near-max contract but the Hornets do not want to match that.

Hornets can benefit a lot by retaining Bridges, he is an All-Star level player and can be in the future if he develops correctly. Charlotte could consider a sign and trade if Max contract offer is out the window for the franchise. But if the team does decide to retain the player, with Bridges and LaMelo Ball Hornets could be much better in the future.
