Ja Morant, an All-Star point guard for the Memphis Grizzlies, returned from an eight-game suspension on Wednesday night to play in his first game since March 3. He ultimately played 24 minutes, scoring 17 points on 6-for-13 shooting from the field and 5-for-6 from the foul line, to help the Grizzlies defeat the Rockets 130-125. He also had five assists and four rebounds. The superstar is working his way back into shape and for the first time in his career, came off the bench as he takes it slow. Memphis intends to gradually increase Morant's playing time throughout the upcoming games.
He leads the Grizzlies with 27.1 points and 8.2 assists per game. While in the nine games Morant missed, the Grizzlies had a 6-3 record. Now The Grizzlies will play the Rockets at home once more on Friday before traveling to face the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday.
