Even when asked about the preseason hit he took from Draymond Green, Golden State Warriors star Jordan Poole has never spoken much about it. When chatting with Logan Murdock of The Ringer after the Warriors were eliminated from the playoffs, the troubled Dubs guard largely adhered to that pattern. Poole was specifically questioned by Murdock about his friendship with Green and how the iconic punch had affected it.
The only response I can give you is that my teammates and I were simply on the court trying to win games, stated Poole. Sincerely, it's simply business. In essence, that is all it was, is, or has ever been. There has just been business. Specifically, basketball. Poole’s comments on Green fell far short of effusive and included no explicit mention of friendship, mentorship or respect.
