While all the eyes on the Dallas Mavericks’ new pair of Luka Dončić and Kyrie Irving, De’Aaron Fox stole the spotlight with a stunning closing effort that led Kings to an OT win. Fox scored 26 points in the fourth quarter and overtime periods as he proved his All-Stars status as Kings posted a 133-128 win against Mavs.
Kings needed to rebound after their disappointing loss to Dallas and managed to hold back the power duo of Dončić and Irving as they made a debut for Mavs.
Sacramento was leading by 34-32 into the second quarter with Terence Davis leading the side but Dallas managed to make a comeback erasing a 13-point deficit to lead by 64-62 into the third quarter. The second half saw a battle raging between All-Star guards, Fox and Irving that pushed the game to overtime where Fox added 14 more points to help Kings to a powerful finish.
