Lakers are looking for a centre

While the Lakers' transactions page has been quiet, all indicators lead to the team bringing in another centre at some time. Rob Pelinka said that the Lakers are looking for a centre and would like to bring in someone with a different skill set than Jaxson Hayes. However, there aren't many players on the market who can play centre and space the floor, so the team's options are limited.

As a result, the Lakers might just be waiting for a currently-signed centre to become available for signing. Teams will ultimately begin to remove the fat from their rosters, which might provide the Lakers with a great alternative to come into the fold. Former Laker JaVale McGee is one name that might become available. The current Dallas Mavericks centre is even more likely to find a new home next season, since the franchise added another frontcourt player, Derrick Jones Jr.
