Lakers make Kyrie Irving their top prospect

The Lakers and Nets are at a stalemate with trade conversations for Kyrie Irving. For over a month, the Lakers have been connected to Kyrie and the fact that he opted out of his player contract further gave way to more rumors. Now the teams are involved in trade discussions since free agency trade has kicked off as well. Kyrie's sights are set on Los Angeles in the following summer on the off chance that he doesn't land with the Lakers this offseason.

Lakers are Irving's top objective assuming he leaves Brooklyn, whether it's by means of trade now and by the February 2023 trade cutoff time, or in free agency period the following summer, when Westbrook's compensation will be off the Lakers' books. Kyrie and the Lakers, it seems like the pair will ultimately figure out how to get together, possibly as late as the following summer.
