Lakers legend Magic Johnson recently made a complete turnaround regarding his opinion of Bronny James' NBA potential. Less than a month ago, during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Johnson expressed his belief that Bronny, selected 55th overall in the 2024 NBA Draft, should spend the entire 2024-25 season in the G-League to develop his skills. He suggested Bronny ask his father, LeBron James, to allow him to take that path.
However, after Bronny’s standout performance in a preseason game against the Warriors, Johnson’s views changed dramatically. On social media, he praised Bronny, highlighting his high basketball IQ, athleticism, and tenacious defense. Johnson confidently predicted that Bronny would earn a spot in the Lakers' rotation and play significant minutes this season, marking a complete reversal from his earlier stance.
